Case 03 · Technical Textiles · Vietnam
Gen III HP45 plotter and AIS1615H pattern-scanning system handle composite-sample throughput at a Vietnam mill.
A composite-textile mill in Bình Dương Province produces fibreglass and aramid sample lots for European wind-turbine and aerospace customers. Sample turnaround was a bottleneck — every customer brief required physical pattern scanning, CAD digitisation and rapid plot.
The Challenge
Digitising hand-trimmed samples took 2–3 days. CAD output to plot was a separate manual handoff. Humidity caused dimensional drift on legacy thermal plotters.
The Solution
favorable supplied an AIS1615H wide-format scanner that digitises a sample to vector-CAD in <8 minutes, paired with a Gen III HP45 plotter rated for high-humidity environments. Integration with the mill's PLM means a customer brief becomes a plotted, ready-to-cut sample within a single shift.

Customer Voice
“Our European customers do not wait. favorable closed the gap from sample to plotted pattern by two days — that is the difference between winning and losing the brief.”
